To wear your hood:
Hold the hood out in front of you, as above, noting the neck band and button loop.
Open the hood and lift the neck band over your head.
Now the neck band is in place, you can fix the button loop to your clothing.
The hood drapes down your back. Some of the colour is exposed.

Please follow our care and laundering instructions as provided with your purchase. Care advice for polyester, wool-poly and wool will differ. -Academic dress is intended for wear in ceremony only -Avoid eating or drinking when wearing -Satin hoods and facings may stain -Take care when handling (pining or fingernails may damage satin fabric) For any satin linings or facings: -Dry clean P(30) POLY -Dry clean A 50+ SHAMUSE -Do not soak -Do not bleach -Do not wring -Drip dry in shade -Do not tumble dry -Warm iron if desired (do not put hot iron directly onto satin!) For best wear and drape of academic dress, we recommend to wear your garment after laundering or hanging. Wearing directly after being folded means some creases may appear. If you can’t gently iron or steam your garment, hang on a coat hanger to help the creases fall out. Every George H. Lilley Regalia gown comes with a complimentary robe bag. We recommend using this bag for storage and travel. Allowing your gown to air regularly will assist to keep your garment in best condition.
